What to Expect
The 1st Year || 365
The Day Has Finally Come — Celebrating 365 Days!
These months have flown by, and we’re so excited to celebrate this special milestone with you. Whether you’ve been with us from the start or this is your first session, we’re honored to document this sweet chapter of your child’s life.
To help you prepare for our session together, we’ve put together some important details on what to expect, depending on the package you’ve chosen.
Just the One Year:
• Outfits: We suggest 1-2 outfits, but up to 3 are allowed. Keep in mind that if your child is not fond of changing clothes, it could make the session more challenging.
• Props: We do have the number “1” and other options that spell “ONE.” However, props are not provided for this session—feel free to bring your own, especially if they fit your birthday theme.
• Balloons: Available for an additional cost—please reach out at least one month before your session to request them.
365 + Smash or Just Smash:
• Outfits: We recommend 2-3 outfits, but be mindful of how your child handles multiple outfit changes.
• Session Breakdown: We’ll start with pre-smash images before moving on to the cake smash portion.
• Smash Outfit: Please bring something you don’t mind getting messy. Avoid tulle material like that used in tutus, as it doesn’t clean up well.
• Cake: We don’t provide the cake, but we suggest a 6-8” cake with whipped icing (easier to smash and clean up). We don’t recommend fondant, as it can be difficult to remove and pose a choking hazard.
• Cake Stands: We have cake stands available, or you may bring your own.
• Props: As with the One Year session, props are not provided, but feel free to bring anything you’d like, like banners, balloons, or special decorations. Balloons can be provided for an additional cost with advance notice.
• Clean-Up: We have paper towels and wipes on hand, but feel free to bring your own if your child has sensitive skin.
Bath Add-On:
If you’ve opted for the bath add-on, please bring a towel. We don’t recommend bubble baths due to the slippery surface of our tub, but water-only baths are perfectly safe.
• Flowers & Fruit: Feel free to bring these if you’d like to incorporate them into the bath.
• Towels: We have towels available if you forget to bring one.
ALL-INCLUSIVE PACKAGE
For those selecting the 1 Year, Smash, and Bath session, here’s what’s included:
• Pre-session planning with detailed guidance.
• 1 Year, Smash, Bath & Film—everything you need for a beautiful, memorable session.
• We provide cake and props, and you only need to bring your child and outfits.
• Film: A personalized video documenting your session, set to a song of your choice (or one selected by the editor).
• You can opt out of any individual service in this package, though the rate will remain the same.
• Note: Film is exclusive to this package and not available as an add-on.
